As our accounting specialist, you help keep the Theatre running smoothly by maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day accounting activities. How you will make an impact in this role:
- You will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales tax, credit card transactions.
- You will perform a variety of accounting and transactional posting duties according to established procedures.
- You will perform assigned monthly reconciliations.
- You will get to work with technology including MS Office apps, QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Adobe Acrobat and other industry-specific software.
Summary of qualifications:
- 2 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably at a nonprofit organization, especially in performing arts.
- Associate degree or demonstration of solid understanding of basic accounting principles; additional experience may qualify.
- Expertise in QuickBooks Online and MS Excel; knowledge of other typical financial software
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
