Veterinary Assistant or Techncian

We have a long time technician assistant that will be gone for a year for school so are looking to add a new team member

• We are located in our 5000 square foot state-of-the-art building in Monument, CO and have a fun and engaged team and ALL the fun equipment and toys
• We are located about 20 minutes North of Central Colorado Springs

Looking for someone who wants a full-time or part-time position but would prefer full time. We are hiring a new doctor who is starting in the early summer months and want to hire and train our support staff before she starts.

We are open Monday 8-5, Tuesday 9-5, Wednesday 8-5, Thursday 8-6 and Friday 8-4.

Pay: depends on experience and certification (range $17-23/hr)

Job description:

Fox Run Veterinary Hospital provides care for feline and canine patients including dentistry, radiology, surgery, and general preventative and illness/injury care.

As a member of the Fox Run Vet team, you would be expected to be accountable with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Each day we strive to provide our clients and patients with beyond exceptional care. Please read our values on our website prior to applying )

On a day-to-day basis, you would be taking care of patients and clients, whether it is for annual appointments, sick visits, or emergency visits. You would be working closely with the four veterinarians and care team.

The ideal candidate for this position would be able to perform the following duties:

Have excellent customer service skills

Be able to lift patients up to 45 pounds

Proper and safe restraint of cats and dogs

Answer the phone

Assist in surgical prep and monitoring of surgical patients

Maintain a clean and safe hospital environment

Maintain thorough and efficient medical records

Must be a team player that is self-motivated and wants to learn

Compassionate towards animals and people

Be a multitasker who can take constructive criticism

*Not required but would prefer to know your enneagram type and Myers-Briggs

*Being a certified/registered veterinary technician is a bonus but not required
