Litigation Associate - Philadelphia, PA
Description: Fox Rothschild has an opening in the Philadelphia, PA office for a litigation associate. The ideal candidate will have two to three years of general commercial litigation experience. We are not currently accepting resumes from search firms for this position.
Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Superior academic record and excellent writing skills required.
- Large law firm experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic litigation team, including but not limited to experience drafting pleadings, drafting and following up on discovery, developing and contributing to strategy, interviewing witnesses and participating in hearings and mediation.
- Clerkship or trial experience a plus.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.
Physical Requirements
- Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.
Visual Acuity
- Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
