Description: Fox Rothschild has an opening in the Montgomery County, PA office for an associate to join its established corporate practice. This position will work on a broad range of corporate matters, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and corporate transactions, including private equity and venture capital financings, corporate governance, and commercial contracts. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of corporate and M&A transactional experience, with working knowledge of corporate and partnership taxation concepts. Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong writing skills, and academic record required.
- Experience drafting corporate agreements, including commercial contracts, stock or asset purchase agreements, and other transactional documents required.
- Ability to handle routine matters independently and interact directly with clients.
- Large law firm experience preferred.
- Strong ties to the Montgomery County, PA area are required.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.
Physical Requirements
- Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.
