THE ROLE
The Flower Child Marketing Coordinator will support the Marketing Director in coordinating and executing all marketing aspects of the Flower Child business. This role will work closely with the marketing team, creative team and all cross-functional teams (Operations, Culinary, IT, Finance/Accounting, Training, and HR/Recruiting). As the Marketing Coordinator you are responsible for managing the day-to-day execution of all marketing campaigns, support new restaurant openings, as well as manage the Flower Child social channels. This position requires strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and excellent time management. Problem-solving abilities are a must, along with the ability to manage competing cross-functional priorities across business groups. You should be able to take full ownership of a project and successfully see it through to the end.
You will provide oversight to the local restaurant marketing plan, work closely with Operations teams in an effort to drive traffic, increase brand awareness and support sales growth across all locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Strategy Execution
- Initiate and manage the execution of all marketing strategies/campaigns across all channels (digital, in-store, social, public relations, paid, etc.) to ensure accuracy and on time launches
- Write comprehensive and detailed project briefs for all marketing assets across channels (social, app content/collateral, in-store signage, email, print collateral, promotions, etc.)
- Manage all Flower Child social media platforms from content ideation, to project briefing, to posting, to community management and engagement
- Establish presence on new social media platforms – TikTok and Pinterest
- Work with all influencer partners to provide influencer briefs and ensure briefs are accurately fulfilled and completed
- Draft and distribute all marketing memos for promotions, partnerships, and important updates to the Flower Child team
- Maintain and share a monthly in-store signage directive to teams and audit in-store signage to maintain consistency across the brand
New Store Openings
- Assist the Director of Marketing to produce strategic pre and post-opening plans for each new restaurant opening
- Lead the management and execution of new store opening marketing plans for each new location
- Ongoing communication with property marketing teams to identify opportunities for cross-promotions, event partnerships, etc.
- Work directly with determined PR agency in new store markets to understand competitive analysis, and develop community partners, gain earned media, host successful opening parties, and build relationships with area media for maximized ongoing support of the restaurant
Local Store Marketing
- Partner with Director of Marketing to develop, manage and execute strategic local marketing initiatives in collaboration with operations teams to support the overarching Flower Child marketing plan
- Identify and vet partnerships / sponsorships; vet incoming leads and make informed recommendations for brand partnerships; provide recommendations to local store teams to ensure each store remains great community partners
- Maintain ongoing communication with store managers to keep Operations teams updated on marketing’s initiatives and promotions; provide Operations teams with program / promotion recap summaries including sales results
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1-2 years minimum relevant experience (strong internship experience considered)
- Excellent attention to detail and a self-starter
- Interested in and available to travel, if needed (i.e. new restaurant opening events)
- Microsoft Office
- Adobe InDesign & Photoshop (preferred)
- Possess strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities, take ownership, multi-task and meet deadlines while managing a large number of projects with shifting deadlines
- Strategic thinker; nimble and responds quickly and positively to change
