Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Writer to join the # 1 National Cable Morning Show, Fox & Friends, and Fox & Friends First. As the Writer, you’ll write compelling and conversational copy to pull viewers in on a wide variety of topics.

You will be offered the following shift:

Thursday-Monday, 1 AM ET - 9 AM ET

a Snapshot Of Your Responsibilities

• Efficiently and accurately write and produce multiple compelling headlines at once
• Write scripts and banners
• Cut video and sound bites; produce graphics
• Consistently meet firm deadlines on multiple assignments
• Work with reporters on their hits while following guidance from the show’s senior producer
• Flag producers about updates on your assignments, including breaking news developments and new visual elements
• Collaborate with the show’s head writer, copy editor, and writing team
• Think outside the box to tell a story
  
  

What You Will Need

• At least one year of writing and/or television experience
• Exceptional scriptwriting skills, news judgment, and grammar
• Flexibility to work overnight hours
• Thorough knowledge of current events, US politics, geopolitics, foreign policy, and history
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field is study preferred, or equivalent experience

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $60,000.00-70,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
