Join us as a Jewelry Specialist, where you’ll play a vital role in helping clients choose the perfect jewelry for new piercings, upgrades, and replacements. In this position, you’ll use your organizational skills to keep displays immaculate and assist body piercers in preparing for procedures. Your knowledge and creativity in jewelry and piercings will enhance the overall customer experience.

Position Overview

As a Jewelry Specialist, you’ll be crucial in customer relations, creating a seamless experience for our guests. In this role, you’ll excel at helping clients select jewelry that suits their anatomy, personal style, and piercing needs. Your knowledge of our jewelry styles, materials, gemstones, and pricing will empower clients to make informed decisions.

You’ll also manage jewelry inventory, demonstrating strong multitasking abilities. With excellent communication, problem-solving skills, patience, and empathy, you will contribute to creating memorable, high-quality customer experiences.

Essential Job Functions:

Client Assistance & Jewelry Selection

• Help clients choose jewelry that suits their anatomy, personal style, and piercing needs.
• Provide guidance on jewelry styles, materials, and gemstones to ensure clients are well-informed before making a decision.
• Present pricing information clearly and professionally, addressing any questions clients may have.
• Offer thorough service while being mindful of clients' time, especially in a one-on-one display area.
• Collaborate closely with body piercers to prepare jewelry for upcoming procedures.

Inventory Management and Product Displays

• Keep all jewelry displays tidy, fully stocked, and accurately reflecting available items.
• Monitor inventory levels, remove sold-out items from displays, and update the team on restocking needs.
• Handle jewelry with care, following sanitization and storage procedures to maintain quality.
• Clean display cases regularly to ensure a pristine presentation of the jewelry.

Customer Service & Experience

• Greet clients warmly and provide guidance as they explore jewelry selections.
• Deliver exceptional service that leaves a lasting impression and encourages repeat visits.
• Customize the customer experience to meet individual needs, ensuring comfort and satisfaction without being pushy.
• Build rapport with clients by offering personalized recommendations based on their preferences and past purchases.
• Remain attentive to each client's time, managing interactions efficiently.

Collaboration with Body Piercers

• Communicate effectively with piercers to understand their jewelry requirements for each client's piercing.
• Assist in preparing and organizing jewelry for piercings, ensuring everything is ready for procedures.
• Provide support during piercing appointments as needed, facilitating smooth transitions between client services.

Time Management

• Assist each client in the jewelry selection process quickly and efficiently while upholding a high standard of customer service.
• Manage client flow to ensure everyone receives timely attention without feeling rushed.
• Balance client interactions with inventory management, display upkeep, and support for piercers, adapting to the studio's pace throughout the day.

Other Job Duties

Physical Demands/Work Environment

The physical requirements for this position include the ability to carry and lift up to 5 pounds frequently, up to 25 pounds regularly, and up to 60 pounds occasionally. Candidates must possess visual acuity, speech, and hearing capabilities, along with hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, computer, keyboard, and basic office equipment. Duties may involve carrying, lifting, twisting, and reaching to perform essential job functions. The working conditions are primarily in an office environment, with occasional travel to other locations.

Additionally, the ability to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours or more per day, is required.

Required Competencies

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Experience: One year of customer service. Experience or training with piercings, jewelry, metals, or gemstones desired.

Skills/Abilities: You will possess strong time management skills, a keen attention to detail, and a customer-first mindset.

Exceptionally approachable and professional, you communicate effectively and demonstrate a deep knowledge of your work while being team-oriented. Additionally, you excel at multitasking and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
