What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction position at Fox Enterprise Services?
We are non-union Commercial Contractor looking for an assistant Project Manager to run a 2-3 projects and grow with the company. This candidate will also be training to manage our roofing maintenance projects. This work includes all aspects of a project from start to finish: ordering materials, attending job-site meetings, coordinating with general contractors, reviewing shop drawings, studying and understanding blue prints and specifications, ensuring the projects come in on time and on budget. Discussing and planning upcoming job and production schedules. Coordination with Senior Project Managers, Superintendents, Foreman, subcontractors, various manpower resources, and others within an office setting. Since Fox specializes in specialize in exterior architectural finishes (roofing & wall panels), the applicant should have general construction knowledge. A great candidate will have some background in roofing, metal wall panels, finish carpentry, or glazing.
Proven computer, written and verbal communication a must. Should be able to pass a background check and drug test. Compensation is based on experience and skill. Locally, projects range from Columbus to Cleveland although there will be short travel to out of State work as well. Out of State travel typically consists of 2-3 days at a time, 1-3 times monthly. Current work load includes OH, PA, FL, GA, CO, AZ, NV, SC, but they are split up amongst other Project Managers. Expected work load is 70% office work and 30% jobsite coordination/ meetings.
