Job Summary:
Fox Den Country Club is seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Golf Shop Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide outstanding service to members and guests, assist in the day-to-day operations of the golf shop, and help create a welcoming and organized retail environment. This is a front-line position that plays a key role in delivering the first-class experience our club is known for.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet all members and guests with a warm, courteous, and professional demeanor.
- Assist members and guests with tee time bookings, check-ins, and general inquiries.
- Promote and sell golf shop merchandise, ensuring accurate transactions using POS systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing retail space.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on golf equipment, apparel, and accessories.
- Support tournament and event operations with check-ins, scoring, and coordination.
- Monitor and enforce golf course policies and etiquette in a courteous manner.
- Communicate effectively with Golf Professionals and other staff to ensure a seamless member experience.
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking and monthly counts.
- Provide timely and helpful responses to phone, email, and in-person inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Previous golf or retail experience preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of golf operations and merchandise.
- Comfortable using computers and point-of-sale systems.
- Positive attitude, punctual, reliable, and able to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily indoors in the golf shop environment, with occasional outdoor duties.
- Standing and walking for extended periods may be required.
