Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas, including floors, restrooms, lobbies, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
- Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures to prevent accidents or contamination
- Conduct manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy cleaning supplies or furniture while adhering to safety guidelines for heavy lifting
- Maintain floor care through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to ensure surfaces are spotless and safe for foot traffic
- Follow hotel housekeeping management protocols to support overall guest experience and facility standards
- Respond promptly to emergency cleaning requests or spillages in accordance with hotel emergency procedures
- Keep detailed records of cleaning activities, chemical usage, and safety compliance to ensure accountability and adherence to safety regulations
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a strong understanding of industrial cleaning practices
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management and hospitality industry standards is highly desirable
- Experience handling chemical agents safely, including familiarity with SDS documentation
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and moving equipment or furniture
- Skilled in floor care techniques such as stripping, sealing, waxing, and polishing floors
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures to respond effectively during incidents or spills
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to maintain cleanliness standards consistently
