Role Description This full-time on-site Physical Therapist role is based in Pittsburgh, PA and involves delivering direct patient care across a range of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing initial evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing hands-on therapy and therapeutic exercise programs. The Physical Therapist will regularly reassess patient progress, adjust interventions, and document care in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards. The role includes educating patients and families on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and long-term self-management strategies. Community engagement and professional development are expected and supported. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals, participation in team meetings, and contribution to quality improvement initiatives are also core components of this position.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in orthopedic, neurologic and/or sports physical therapy.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge relevant to musculoskeletal, neurological, and general health conditions impacting physical function.
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program and current (or eligible) Pennsylvania Physical Therapist license.
- Effective interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Strong clinical reasoning, time management, and organizational skills, including the ability to manage a varied caseload.
- Experience in outpatient orthopedics, neurologic conditions, and/or sports rehabilitation, or related settings is preferred but not required.
- Board Certification through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialist (ABPTS) is preferred but not requires. Individuals interested in pursuing Board Certification are encouraged to apply.
