Role Description The Deli Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Slinger, WI. This position oversees daily deli operations, including planning and preparing deli foods, ensuring proper merchandising, and maintaining product quality and presentation. The Deli Manager leads and trains deli team members, schedules staff, and promotes a positive, customer-focused environment. Responsibilities include monitoring inventory and ordering supplies, enforcing food safety and sanitation standards, managing waste and shrink, and supporting sales and promotional activities. The role also involves working closely with store leadership to meet performance goals and uphold company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong food preparation and food service skills, with knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper handling practices.
- Demonstrated customer service and sales skills, with the ability to engage shoppers, answer product questions, and promote deli offerings.
- Experience with inventory control, including ordering, tracking stock levels, and minimizing waste and shrink.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a deli, grocery, or food service environment is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site, stand for extended periods, and safely use deli equipment and tools.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse team members and management.
