Responsibilities
- Assist with the excavation, trenching, and preparation of sites for septic tank installation, using and being around heavy equipment daily.
- Operate equipment to move materials efficiently around construction sites.
- Follow blueprint specifications accurately to install septic tanks, sanitary drainage systems, water supply systems.
- Use hand tools and pipe lasers to ensure precise pipe installation aligned with technical drawings and construction plans.
- Conduct safety protocol adherence by following federal construction safety regulations during all phases of installation.
- Efficient in reading a level, shoveling and grading ditches for tanks and drain line installation.
- Support utility locating efforts to identify underground utilities before trenching or excavation begins.
- Interpret technical drawings and construction plans to ensure proper installation of drain lines and septic tanks alike.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety regulations at all times.
Requirements
- 3 years of prior experience operating heavy equipment is not mandatory but IS highly desired.
- Knowledge of construction trenching techniques for installation.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately for proper pipe placement and system setup.
- Experience with, pipe laser alignment, plumbing, and septic work is a plus.
- Understanding of federal construction safety regulations and safety protocol adherence on job sites.
- Strong work ethic with physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Construction site experience with a focus on sewer system projects is desirable.
- Some heavy equipment operation is advantageous but not mandatory . Being able to work in a fast-paced environment is a must.
