The Role:
We’re seeking a litigation associate (1-3 years) to join our New Jersey office. The attorney will work closely with partners on active litigation matters and gain courtroom exposure early. This is a strong opportunity for attorneys looking to transition from government service or general litigation into insurance defense.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage or support litigation matters from case intake through resolution;
- Draft pleadings, discovery, and dispositive motions;
- Conduct or assist with depositions and hearings;
- Communicate with clients, claims professionals, and opposing counsel;
- Contribute to trial preparation and strategy.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school;
- Licensed and in good standing in New Jersey;
- 1-3 years of civil litigation experience (insurance defense preferred);
- Strong writing, advocacy, and case management skills;
- Courtroom or trial experience is a plus (former prosecutors/PDs encouraged).
