Middle School ELA Teaher

Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and engage students in critical thinking and analysis.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and promotes literacy skills.
• Utilize research-based instructional strategies to support diverse learners and enhance their understanding of English Language Arts.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to design curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and classroom activities.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education.
• Maintain organized records of student performance and lesson plans.

Requirements

• Experience working with middle school students is preferred.
• Strong skills in research, copy editing, and organizational tasks.
• Proficiency in instructional design and lesson planning tailored for diverse learning styles.
• Background in literacy education is essential; experience in private school settings is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating initiative.
