Field Technician - Construction
Company Overview:
FourthPC installs fixed seating in stadiums, arenas, auditoriums, schools, and churches across America. Our Field Technicians travel full-time to jobsites throughout the country. We have accounts from California to New York, with a large clientele base east of the Mississippi River. The applicant should have a willingness to travel however there is work within Texas that does not need substantial travel. We are looking for crew members who value variety in their work and a desire to work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment. In their week-to-week role, our crew members can work anywhere from large stadiums to small school auditoriums, and everywhere in between. Our Company headquarters is located in Austin Texas, but our installation teams are based all over the country.
Job Description Summary:
FourthPC works hard to ensure our crew members are equipped with everything they need to safely and successfully install seating at any jobsite. We do this through open communication and by providing all the necessary tools, transportation, and training to guarantee quality work. Per diem and travel pay are also provided. - Read engineering drawings and install according to the plan.
- Be able to communicate with customers, project managers any issues or deviations for installations.
- Use various tools and power tools in accordance with engineering plan.
- Unload trucks and carry boxes to designated work location utilizing dollies and carts
- Install assembly hardware with provided power tools
- Perform work in a safe, clean, and respectful manner
- Work as part of a team to collectively complete projects within required deadlines
- Follow all safety directions and requirements of the customer’s site
Required Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have the ability to communicate in English
- Must have the ability to lift and carry heavy boxes (a minimum of 50lbs), lift, bend, and twist repeatedly
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions - rain, snow, heat, etc.
- Must be able to perform strenuous labor
- Must be able to complete a designated amount of work in a specified timeframe, adjusting work assignments or schedules to meet changing priorities or demands
- Must have a strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience preparing bids is a plus
- Experience hiring, managing, and coordinating subs is a plus
- No degree required, but a BS in Construction Mangement or Civil Engineering is preferred
- Experience leading a team in a remote, fast paced environment
- Aptitude for math and an understanding of reading engineering drawings (We will also provide training on this)
- Experience working with and maintaining various tools and equipment
- Veterans are highly encouraged to sign up
