Packaging Designer - Beauty/Personal Care

Our client is a leading provider of bath & body products at the intersection of innovation & creativity. Our Design & Development Teams explore the global marketplace for the latest trends. Our team is searching for a Product Packaging Designer to join their team in NYC!

This role is fully onsite. Requires 5 days in Midtown Manhattan office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design: Conceptualize and design packaging for various beauty/hair care/personal care products
• Copywriting Skills: Craft persuasive and informative product copy that highlights key features and benefits, ensuring the packaging effectively communicates the value of our products.
• Brand Consistency: Ensure that packaging designs align with our brand guidelines and effectively communicate our brand's identity and values.
• Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor packaging, and consumer preferences to create packaging that stands out on the shelves.
• Dieline Creation: Create dielines and templates for packaging production, ensuring accurate sizing and layout.
• Quality Assurance: Review and approve packaging proofs and prototypes to ensure accuracy and quality before production.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Packaging Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing packaging design projects for beauty/hair care/personal care
• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Exceptional copywriting skills with the ability to craft compelling and concise product descriptions.
• Knowledge of printing processes and materials.
• Understanding of sustainability principles in packaging design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of aesthetics.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
