Our client, a hard goods manufacturing company, is seeking an Art Director - Brand & Packaging to join their team in New York!
Responsibilities
- Lead the creative direction and visual identity across all brand and product categories.
- Manage and mentor a team of designers, ensuring high-quality output and professional growth.
- Oversee concept development, layout, typography, photography direction, packaging design, and digital assets.
- Partner with Product Development and Packaging teams to ensure product visuals and packaging align with brand standards and market trends.
- Collaborate with Marketing to create cohesive campaigns, sales materials, and promotional assets.
- Review and approve all creative materials before release, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.
- Maintain and evolve brand guidelines to support company growth and product expansion.
- Coordinate with external agencies, photographers, and freelancers as needed.
- Stay current with industry trends, consumer insights, and design innovations to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage creative timelines, workflow, and priorities to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Creative Direction, or related field.
- 7 years of experience in design or creative roles, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or art director position.
- Strong portfolio showcasing brand, packaging, print, and digital design.
- Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and design production processes.
- Experience in wholesale, retail, or consumer goods industries strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work full-time on-site and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
