Senior Oracle Database Administrator (Hybrid OCI, AWS & On-Prem)
Position Summary:
Seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator to manage, optimize, secure, and support enterprise Oracle databases across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, and on-premises environments. The role focuses on high availability, performance, cloud modernization, automation, and database security.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer Oracle databases 11g 23c, including RAC, Data Guard, ASM, CDB/PDB, and Exadata.
- Manage Oracle environments in OCI (Autonomous DB, Exadata Cloud, DB Systems), AWS (EC2/RDS), and on-premises.
- Lead cloud migration, hybrid connectivity, and database modernization initiatives.
- Monitor and tune database performance using AWR, ASH, OEM, and cloud-native tools.
- Implement RMAN backup/recovery, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
- Manage database security, including TDE encryption, patching, access control, and compliance.
- Automate database administration using Shell, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or OCI Resource Manager.
- Support CI/CD integration and AI-powered database features.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams on data governance, quality, and metadata management.
- Provide on-call production support, troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and maintain documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Multiple years of hands-on Oracle Database Administration experience in enterprise environments.
- Strong experience with Oracle 11g 23c, SQL, PL/SQL, RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, and performance tuning.
- Experience managing Oracle databases in OCI, AWS, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Strong Linux (RedHat/Oracle Linux) administration and Shell scripting skills.
- Knowledge of database security, disaster recovery, automation, and cloud infrastructure.
- Ability to lead projects, work independently or collaboratively, prioritize tasks, and deliver end-to-end solutions.
