About The Role
The Cook I prepares high-quality menu items while maintaining consistency, presentation, and food safety standards. This role is responsible for executing recipes, supporting kitchen operations, and ensuring an efficient and organized work environment in a fast-paced culinary setting.
What You Will Do
- Prepare menu items with consistency and quality, following standard recipes, portioning, and presentation guidelines
- Complete mise en place and set up station for service across breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- Prepare food items in advance based on forecasted needs, minimizing waste and overproduction
- Operate, clean, and maintain kitchen equipment safely and properly
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and rotation of all food items in compliance with food safety standards
- Monitor inventory levels, communicate shortages, and support cost control and waste reduction efforts
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Work collaboratively and professionally with team members and leadership
- Minimum of 4 years of culinary or related experience, with strong foundational cooking knowledge
- Culinary education or equivalent experience preferred
- Ability to follow recipes and execute dishes with consistency and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of kitchen equipment and food preparation techniques
- Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards
