Duties

  • Deliver engaging lessons based on prepared lesson plans or teacher instructions, ensuring continuity of instruction.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively by implementing established behavior management strategies.
  • Support students’ individual needs by working with children with disabilities or developmental challenges, including autism and other special education requirements.
  • Assist with curriculum development and lesson planning to enhance educational activities across subjects such as literacy, math, and creative writing.
  • Foster a positive learning environment through classroom management, mentorship, and encouragement.
  • Collaborate with school staff to monitor student progress and provide feedback on classroom activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, student participation, and any incidents that occur during your shift.

Requirements

  • Prior classroom experience or childcare background is preferred; experience in private schools or Montessori settings is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom settings and teaching styles.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs, including those with developmental disabilities or autism.
  • Skills in lesson planning, curriculum development, and proofreading educational materials.
  • Demonstrated ability in classroom management and behavior management techniques.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
