People and Culture Generalist
Who We Look For
This key role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the People and Culture department. You will be a part of our dynamic team, delivering service with energy and enthusiasm to our internal and external guests. A strong sense of integrity, a determined character, and a positive attitude will make you the most successful candidate for the role.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates all aspects of recruitment including job postings, interviews and job offers, tracking applicants and ensuring follow up.
- Manages benefits administration and billing processes.
- Administrates the Leave of Absence program.
- Provides guidance and counsel to employees and managers.
- Champions the employee experience through organization of activities, communication tools and programming including employee of the month celebrations.
- Strategic partner with Assistant Director of People and Culture to ensure continuous growth within our hotel and team.
- Alongside the Assistant Director, facilitates the learning and development process within the hotel.
- College education in Human Resources or Hospitality Business Management or equivalent experience preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience as a People and Culture (HR) Supervisor or Generalist.
- A general working knowledge of labor laws (Local, State, and Federal) and union relations.
- Experience in process development and implementation
- Verbal and written command of the English language (multi-lingual preferred).
- Ability to quickly and positively establish rapport.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Experience with HRIS systems; Workday preferred.
- Strong Attention to detail
- Preference for candidates who have experience working with Collective Bargaining Agreements.
- Excellent emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- U.S. work authorization is required for this position.
- Hourly Rate: $37.00
