What You’ll Do
- The ability to supervise and coordinate the activities of all stewards to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the department.
- The ability to ensure the proper use, cleanliness, and preventative maintenance of all machinery and equipment used by the Stewarding department.
- The ability to ensure the neatness, cleanliness and order of all kitchens, back of the house areas, storage areas, employee dining room, Stewarding Department machinery, trash compactor room, carts and tables through constant monitoring and a vigorous cleaning schedule.
- The ability to maintain controls against equipment abuse and operating supplies waste.
- Demonstrate the ability to evaluate Stewards' efficiency and devise means of guarding against wastage and/or equipment abuse.
- Must be able to multitask, pay attention to detail, exhibit leadership skills, and possess outstanding communication skills,
- Manages the stewarding functions in all kitchen areas to promote overall cleanliness sanitation and compliance with state and local food safety and food establishment health regulations.
- Safely utilize and store all cleaning compounds, chemicals, and materials including soaking solution utilizing the correct protective clothing and Personal Protective Equipment.
- The ability to assist with Kitchen, Special Events and Buffet set up for success on all Food and Beverage functions.

- Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States.
- Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card when working in food and beverage
- High School Diploma preferred
- Ability to operate, maintain and properly clean dishwashing machine, sinks, floor cleaning equipment, and silver burnishing machine.
- Hourly Wage: $27.27
