Overview
We are seeking non-smoking, dedicated and knowledgeable Greenhouse Technicians to join our team. This role involves maintaining and optimizing greenhouse environments to support healthy plant growth and production. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in horticulture, gardening, and outdoor work, with a strong understanding of irrigation systems and plant care. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic agricultural setting, contributing to sustainable plant cultivation and landscape projects.
Duties
- Manage and maintain greenhouse environments, ensuring optimal conditions for plant growth
- Maintain proper watering schedules for plants in assigned areas
- Assist with planting, transplanting, and harvesting various crops and plants
- Identify different plant species and diagnose health issues or pests
- Operate hand tools and mechanical equipment for planting, pruning, and maintenance tasks
- Perform heavy lifting of plants, soil, or equipment as needed for daily operations
- Support outdoor gardening and landscaping activities around the greenhouse premises
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to ensure safety and efficiency
- Assist with basic math calculations related to measurements, quantities, or scheduling
Requirements
- Prior experience in horticulture, greenhouse management, farming, or landscaping is preferred
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, plant identification, and general gardening techniques
- Mechanical knowledge related to greenhouse equipment and hand tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail in plant care and environmental monitoring
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work involving standing, bending, and lifting over extended periods
- Passion for agriculture, gardening, or sustainable land management is a plus

Pay: $15.50 - $17.50 per hour
