Scheduling and Work Control Manager

The Scheduling and Work Control Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and scheduling of Surveillance & Maintenance (S&M) work activities. This position develops and manages detailed work schedules and assigns tasks to the appropriate personnel. The Scheduling and Work Control Manager role is critical for ensuring that projects and maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and on time, by overseeing the workflow from initial planning through work package closeout.

Job Summary

FRNP is seeking a dynamic and experienced Scheduling and Work Control Manager to support the S&M team. The ideal candidate will be a decisive leader with a proven ability to manage and integrate complex, multi-faceted schedules. This individual will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight of all S&M work planning and scheduling activities, from strategic planning and resource allocation to tracking performance metric and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Integrated Scheduling and Work Control

• Develop and manage a comprehensive, integrated master schedule that includes all Corrective Maintenance (CMs), Preventive Maintenance (PMs), special projects, and other plant priorities.
• Ensure all critical deadlines are incorporated into the schedule and that target dates are met through proactive monitoring and management.
• Build and maintain complex, resource-loaded schedules for all S&M surveillance and maintenance activities.
• Assign tasks to team members, ensuring a balanced and efficient workload.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all scheduling matters, effectively communicating needs, and coordinating with various departments to make necessary adjustments to the plan.
  
  

Metrics and Reporting

• Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for schedule adherence, work completion, and procurement.
• Prepare and present regular reports on team performance and project status.
  
  

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to enhance scheduling and work control processes.
• Implement industry best practices to increase operational effectiveness.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a scheduling manager, work control manager, or a similar role in an industrial, manufacturing, or plant environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in creating and managing integrated master schedules that incorporate various work streams (CMs, PMs, projects).
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate priorities and make schedule adjustments with stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., SOMAX, Primavera P6) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
