Casino Porter
SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness in all areas of the Casino public and office areas.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Keeps the assigned station maintained in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Wipes down all machines, cleans between slot machines, removes papers, glasses, debris, and discards all empty bottles.
- Keeps assigned station clean of debris and trash removed.
- Empties and cleans ashtrays/urns and trashcans, removing trash to designated location.
- Clean-up bio-hazards according to proper procedures.
- Sweeps and cleans carpets, polishes furniture, marble glass, brass tile, etc.
- Vacuums public and office stations as assigned.
- Clean restrooms, including cleaning toilets, sinks, sweeping and mopping floors.
- Wipe down spots on walls and baseboards surfaces.
- Ensures that supplies and paper products are restocked.
- Keeps all equipment properly maintained, clean, and free of marks.
- Reports emergencies and maintenance needs to Lead and/or Manager.
- Enforces all company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Participates in departmental brainstorming sessions.
- Assists other areas as needed.
- Performs all other job related duties as requested.
Required:
- At least 6 months of experience in PAD or EVS comparable positions.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Must be able to understand, communicate and direct customers. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to present a well-groomed appearance.
- Must be able to read labels on chemical bottles. Must be able to tolerate cleaning chemicals without developing an allergic reaction.
- Must be able to work on one-step stool and possess the ability to stand, bend, stoop, twist and turn in the performance of job duties
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work may require evening, early morning, and week end schedules. Must be able to maneuver in casino areas, up and down stairs and reach above shoulder level. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, and be able to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to withstand prolonged walking, standing, bending, pushing, climbing and kneeling. Must be able to push, pull and carry at least 50 pounds.
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors and be exposed to environmental factors such as excessive noise, extreme heat and cold.
Must be able work in unclean work areas, tolerate cigarette smoke, and work around hazardous materials and equipment.
