Solutions Architect - Cloud and Security

Must be located in the DC Metro Area

Summary: This position is responsible for evaluating customer needs and requirements, architect innovative solutions and designs, and assist business development and sales personnel in identifying and closing profitable business opportunities focused on Cloud and Security customer initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Support Field Sales and Business Development in the discovery, architecting, presenting, and bidding of solutions that include Cloud solutions.
• Certifications in Cloud Expertise centered on Amazon Web Services (transferable certification required at the Professional Architect or Specialty level)
• Ideal candidate would have experience presenting AWS Optimization & Licensing Assessments as well as Migration Acceleration Program
• Technical strengths in multiple domains including ML/AI Systems, cloud-native architecture (Kubernetes, microservices, serverless), DevOps/SRE practices.
• Engage with Customers to facilitate Optimization, migration and adoption of cloud solutions and technologies with focus on proper utilization of best practices in the design and architecture of secure cloud solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Networking and design best practices for Cloud and WAN.
• Strengths in presenting and subject matter expert engaged in periodic speaking engagements as needed.
• Provide input to bid and proposal strategy and decision making. Position will require ability to design and architect solutions, provide written and graphical representation of solutions as well as responding to questions associated with recommended solutions.
• Responsible for providing customer demonstrations and webinar presentations promoting Cloud solutions.
• Candidate will acknowledge and participate in annual ethics training provided by Four Points.
• Candidate will review, acknowledge, and participate in any US government and regulatory security training periodically as required in their role.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Industry certifications on cloud and virtualization technologies.
• Previous background in software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, networking and/or data analytics preferred.
• Ideal candidate would have experience presenting AWS Optimization & Licensing Assessments as well as Migration Acceleration Program
• Ability to travel and visit with customers -20-30% CONUS travel expected
• Must be able to go through Federal Government background checks, TS/SCI cleared preferred.
• Membership in industry associations and portfolio of technical publications, talks, or thought leadership
• Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Must be a self-starter requiring minimal day to day oversight.
• Must be able to independently identify issues and problems and provide recommended solutions to overcome those problems.

Education/Experience:

• BS/BA Degree in related field plus 5 years of experience and/or training, OR
• Associate Degree and 8 years of experience and/or training, OR
• 10 years of experience and/or training, OR
• An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.
• Must have at least one (1) transferrable AWS Professional or Specialty certification and desire Azure certifications,
