Server Dinner/PM Part-Time

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Present menus, explain specials, and recommend dishes or beverages to enhance the guest experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
• Upsell menu items and beverages to maximize sales while maintaining genuine guest engagement
• Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
• Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction, address any concerns promptly, and provide outstanding customer service
• Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the shift
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for bills and tips
• Support sanitation standards by following proper food handling procedures and restaurant policies
• Collaborate with team members including hosts/hostesses and kitchen staff to deliver seamless service in a fine dining or nightlife environment

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and sales tracking
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse customer needs
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest interactions
• Basic math skills for cashiering, bill splitting, and cash handling accuracy
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Previous experience in serving, bussing, or host/hostess roles is highly desirable
• Familiarity with the food industry’s operational procedures including food preparation support when needed
• Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members in a fast-paced environment
