What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor position at Four Points by Sheraton Anaheim?
As an Housekeeping Supervisor, the responsibilities include:
- Direct supervision of the housekeeping staff to guarantee exceptional standards of cleanliness and property upkeep in all areas.
- Solid understanding of housekeeping and laundry standards.
- Inspects facilities and recommends repairs and upgrades when needed;
- Help to ensure staff is cross trained with the ability to meet all housekeeping related demands.
- Help in overseeing the facility and assess employees based on hotel policies and standards for property cleanliness and upkeep.
- Assist in sustaining a safety program for all housekeeping staff.
- Assist to ensure OSHA standards and ADA requirements are understood by staff and complied with.
- Experience purchasing linens and housekeeping supplies so they in line with business demand.
- Effectively communicates with hotel management of goals and responsibilities for the Housekeeping department.
- Assist in scheduling all housekeeping, laundry and public space roles.
- Assist in appraisal and identify candidates for promotions
- Assist in communicating hotel’s guest satisfaction goals, and how to greet guests and courteously solve guest requests.
- Follow housekeeping inspection program and ensure that it is consistently followed and maintained
- Assist all safety and security policies and procedures are followed
- Assist in experience training, coaching, supervising, motivating and counseling employees in a positive manner
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum four (2) years’ experience in housekeeping supervision with Marriott hotels is a plus
- Must be fluent in English in speaking and writing; Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Background Check is required
