Duties
- Supervise dog playgroups, ensuring safe interactions and positive behavior reinforcement
- Handle dogs with care using proper animal restraint techniques and dog handling skills
- Monitor and respond to animal behavior, addressing any signs of stress or aggression promptly
- Maintain cleanliness of the facility by sanitizing kennels, play areas, and equipment regularly
- Assist with pet boarding and pet sitting services, ensuring each dog’s individual needs are met
- Support pet grooming and basic veterinary assistance tasks as needed to promote animal health
- Perform outdoor work such as yard maintenance, outdoor play sessions, and facility sanitization
- Engage in team lifting activities to safely move heavy supplies or large animals when necessary
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ well-being
- Ensure compliance with animal care standards and safety protocols at all times
Experience
- Prior veterinary experience or veterinary technician background preferred but not required
- Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or kennel operations highly valued
- Background in animal handling, animal behavior management, or pet grooming is advantageous
- Familiarity with veterinary assistant duties or pet care facility sanitization processes is a plus
- Outdoor work experience involving animals or farm environments is beneficial
- Strong skills in animal restraint, pet boarding procedures, and heavy lifting are important for success in this role
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a lively, energetic attitude
