What are the responsibilities and job description for the Opening Banquet Cook position at Four Oaks Country Club?
Four Oaks Country Club is looking for a full-time opening prep cook for our busy
banquet/event kitchen. We are looking for passionate candidates with culinary
experience who are willing to learn and grow their craft. We offer a hospitable,
professional style of dining to a wide variety of events throughout the season, from
small cocktail parties to large corporate events, golf outings and weddings. Previous
experience in a banquet, corporate, or fine dining kitchen is ideal but not necessary.
The position is responsible for the bulk prep of all food products including but not limited
to meats, dressings and sauces. He/she will take a heavy role in maintaining kitchen
cleanliness and organization.
● Prepare food to specifications before and during unit operations, complying with
all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures,
and label, date, wrap and rotate all food products in accordance with ServSafe
procedure
● Uphold excellent food presentation and customer satisfaction
● Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment and
handle multiple tasks
● Must be able to lift up to 50lbs as well as stand and walk for the entire length of
the shift
● Manual ability to chop, mix, blend and whip a variety of foods and liquids and
operate all kitchen equipment
● Must be able to read and speak english
● Must have reliable transportation and be able to report to all shifts on time
The position will report to work Monday-Friday 6am-2pm and will work independently
from a prep list until the other staff arrives. On non-event days the candidate may be
required to work the entire shift alone. A positive attitude as well as respect for
coworkers and the kitchen and its equipment are a must. The training for this position
will take place during a 9am-5pm shift.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
