Outside Sales Representative

Introduction:

Four Corners Welding & Gas Supply is one of the largest regional independently owned and operated Welding, Industrial, Specialty, and Medical Gases distributors in the Southwestern U.S., with locations in Gallup and Milan, (NM) Cortez and Durango, (CO). This document outlines the role, responsibilities, and expectations of the Outside Sales Representative at Four Corners Welding & Gas Supply.

Role Overview:

The Outside Salesperson is responsible for developing sales strategies and attract new clients in their assigned territory. A successful sales person will source new sales/rentals for both FCWGS and Big Mike’s Rental opportunities to close sales to achieve company goals. This position will play a key role in increasing revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects, and managing sales of products and service. The representative will remain up-to-date on the latest products, emerging markets, and research sales competition to increase income and revenue.

Education & Experience Requirements:

·        Required: High School or equivalent

·        Preferred: Associate's Degree in Business or Communications

·        Preferred: 1-3 years’ experience in customer service or sales

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

·        Meet and exceed monthly sales, margin plans, and generate new and repeat sales.

·        Travel within sales territory to build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.

·        Maintain records of all sales leads and customer interactions.

·        Demonstrate a strong understanding of the company’s products and services.

·        Executes developed sales strategies, plans, and advertising or promotional programs.

·        Evaluate new products and market opportunities, and communicate analysis to management.

·        Educate customers as needed on industry trends, terminology, product features product promotions. 

·        Follow a customer contact schedule to ensure proper preparedness for deliveries.

·        Coordinate cylinder deliveries and pickup with customers prior to scheduled delivery routes.

·        Event and trade show participation.

Required Skills & Experience:

·        Valid Driver License

·        Experience in sales ideally in welding and gas supply

·        Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with diverse clientele

·        Knowledge of general sales, business to business, negotiation, and pricing

·        Proficiency in basic computer skills, including MS Office

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position does not have supervisory duties.

Physical effort requires standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, squatting, pushing, pulling, reaching above shoulders, gripping, reach with hands and arms, carrying, climb up and down stairs. Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, and keyboarding. Must be able to read safety labels, safety information. Must be able to hear and communicate clearly. Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. Exposure to dust, loud noise.

Work Hours and Environment:

This full-time position requires a commitment to work from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Rate of Pay: $17/HR Commission and Bonus Opportunities

Employment with Gallup Welder Supply is on an “at-will” basis.
