Responsibilities
- Erect metal building frameworks and install metal stud framing according to construction plans and schematics
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install drywall panels with accuracy using hand tools and power tools
- Install suspended ceilings, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening for aesthetic appeal and functionality
- Fit and secure commercial doors, including frames, hardware, and locks, adhering to safety standards
- Prepare surfaces by sanding, patching, priming, and painting to achieve smooth finishes
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to interpret project specifications accurately
- Perform heavy lifting safely while managing multiple tasks on active construction sites
Skills
- Extensive experience with metal building erection and rebar installation
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and site safety protocols
- Skilled in concrete forming, finishing, masonry, plastering, stucco work, and restoration projects
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and other construction equipment effectively
- Basic math skills for dimensional measurements and layout work
- Experience with framing carpentry—frame carpentry, trim carpentry—and woodworking techniques
- Familiarity with welding processes relevant to structural components
- Knowledge of construction plans related to remodeling or renovation projects
- Ability to interpret technical schematics for metal stud framing or drywall systems
- Capable of performing heavy lifting safely while maintaining productivity standards
