Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Entry-Level Industrial Hygienist / Field Technician to join our growing team. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting field investigations, sampling, monitoring, and report preparation in various environmental and industrial hygiene settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct field investigations, including sampling for asbestos, mold, and other environmental hazards.
- Operate and maintain field monitoring equipment.
- Compile and interpret field data for the preparation of reports and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and certifications in asbestos disciplines.
- Collaborate with the team to develop best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Health & Safety, or a related field is preferred, but not required. 4BE is willing to train and invest in the right candidates!
- Strong commitment to professionalism in appearance and behavior.
- This is a field position that requires up to 75% travel throughout New England. 4BE compensates all employees for travel at the IRS standard rate or provides a company vehicle.
- Excellent time management skills, ensuring punctuality both in presence at the job and with reports and administrative duties.
- Ability to maintain certifications and licenses related to asbestos disciplines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team is critical.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Must possess basic computer skills and the ability to operate hand-held equipment.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted.
