This role involves working with children aged 0 to 5 years in a safe, nurturing, and faith-based environment. Description:
MDO teachers provide attentive care and early learning experiences for young children while their parents are at work or running errands. Teachers are responsible for leading age-appropriate activities, ensuring a safe and engaging classroom environment, and partnering with parents and fellow staff members to promote positive child development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Childcare and Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times through active supervision and compassionate care.
- Curriculum Implementation: Follow the provided curriculum and develop lesson plans that support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming learning space.
- Parent Communication: Keep parents informed about their child’s progress, behavior, and daily experiences.
- Team Collaboration: Work alongside other MDO staff to plan, communicate, and provide consistent care and instruction.
- Observation and Assessment: Monitor and document each child's development and highlight strengths or concerns as needed.
- Record Keeping: Accurately track attendance and promptly report any incidents or accidents.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and coworkers
- Reliable, patient, and nurturing personality
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plus
- Must pass a background check and meet any applicable childcare licensing requirements
