Responsibilities
- Operate laundry machines such as industrial washers and dryers to ensure effective cleaning of textiles and garments.
- Handle laundry materials carefully, including sorting, folding, and organizing linens, clothing, or other fabric items.
- Use appropriate laundry detergents and cleaning agents while following safety standards in production to prevent contamination or damage.
- Maintain sanitation standards by regularly cleaning laundry equipment, push carts, and work areas.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks involving bulky items or large loads using proper manual handling techniques and push carts.
- Follow safety protocols during all laundry activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Support textile cleaning processes such as dry cleaning when applicable, ensuring garments are cared for according to manufacturer instructions.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cleaning or laundry services is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of laundry detergents, sanitation practices, and garment care machine operation is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and the use of push carts.
- Basic math skills for measuring detergents and calculating load sizes accurately.
- Familiarity with safety standards in production environments related to textile cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining cleanliness and quality standards.
- Excellent customer service skills are beneficial when interacting with residents or clients regarding their laundry needs.
