Requirements / Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a job-related area with a minimum of 24 college-level semester units in early childhood education or child development and includes the three core courses: Child Growth & Development, School, Family & Community, and Program/Curriculum. One year of teaching experience in a licensed child care center or comparable group child care program. Certificates and Licenses: Early Childhood Education Certificate - Site Supervisor or higher. Valid Pediatric First Aid and Pediatric CPR certificates, and a Valid California Driver License

Please attach copies of the required certificates (valid Children's Center Permit, valid Pediatric First Aid and Valid Pediatric CPR certificates, and unofficial transcripts or report cards showing completed college units). Applications will be reviewed, and those applicants submitting the required information showing they meet the above minimum qualifications will be invited to a written test (date to be determined), at the Fountain Valley School District Office, 10055 Slater Avenue, Fountain Valley. Please bring a valid I.D. and allow 1.5 hours for the test and instructions.
