Duties

• Build strong rapport with residents through personalized interactions and attentive communication
• Assist with daily living activities and provide companionship to residents with disabilities or special needs
• Collaborate with team members to ensure activities are safe, inclusive, and aligned with individual care plans
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity feedback using basic computer skills in Microsoft Office or similar programs
• Support the overall recreational therapy goals by working closely with nursing staff and family members

Skills

• Proven experience in event planning
• Strong understanding of geriatrics, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, and memory support strategies
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and team members
• Demonstrated ability to build resident rapport and foster a positive community atmosphere
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly valued
