Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. This will be a seasonal position. Painter is only needed for the next couple of months. Monday through Friday schedule.
The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques and a strong understanding of construction-related tasks. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes in both residential and commercial settings. The Painter will work collaboratively with other tradespeople to deliver exceptional results on time and within project specifications.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and patching as necessary.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or airless paint spraying equipment.
- Perform trim carpentry and drywall repairs as needed to ensure a smooth and professional finish.
- Execute caulking and plastering tasks to seal gaps and enhance the durability of painted surfaces.
- Collaborate with team members on construction estimating to ensure accurate project planning.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, including hand tools used for painting and construction tasks.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working on-site to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
- Proficient in construction painting techniques with attention to detail for quality finishes.
- Experience in trim carpentry and drywall work is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of maintenance person skills including masonry and plastering is a plus.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes to assist in project planning.
- Ability to effectively use caulking tools and airless paint spraying equipment.
- Strong aptitude for using hand tools safely and efficiently in various tasks related to painting and construction.
