A leading General Contractor is seeking an experienced Regional Construction Manager to oversee operations, project execution, and business growth across an established regional market. This leadership role is ideal for a construction professional with strong operational expertise, team leadership experience, and a proven track record managing multiple commercial projects and client relationships.

 

About the Role

The Regional Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership across all active projects within the region, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This individual will also play a key role in business development, team development, and regional growth initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional business strategies aligned with company goals
  • Drive revenue growth, client diversification, and market expansion
  • Identify new project opportunities and maintain strong client relationships
  • Partner with executive leadership on long-term planning and market positioning

 

Operations & Project Oversight

  • Oversee all regional construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Support Project Executives, Project Managers, and Superintendents to ensure schedule, budget, and quality goals are achieved
  • Monitor project financials, cost projections, risk management, and profitability
  • Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety standards, and quality expectations

 

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop operations staff across the region
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management initiatives
  • Foster a culture built on teamwork, accountability, and communication
  • Identify and develop high-potential talent for future leadership opportunities

Client & Business Development

  • Serve as the primary regional representative with owners, developers, and stakeholders
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and industry networking events
  • Support preconstruction and estimating teams on regional pursuits
  • Assist with proposal development, interviews, and execution planning

 

Financial & Regional Performance

  • Manage regional P&L performance in collaboration with senior leadership
  • Track KPIs including profitability, safety metrics, scheduling performance, and backlog health
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and project margins

 

Qualifications

  • 10 years of commercial construction experience with progressive leadership responsibilities
  • Strong understanding of project management, scheduling, and construction financials
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead high-performing teams
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience overseeing regional operations or multiple project teams
  • Background in multifamily and/or diverse commercial construction projects preferred
  • Experience with Procore, Sage, or similar construction management platforms preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
