CULINARY ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

This role supports the VP of Culinary and the Director of Culinary Operations, providing high-level administrative and organizational support across the Founding Farmers Restaurant Group culinary team. Hourly Pay: $22 - $32

WHAT OUR CULINARY ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT DOES
- Support two culinary executives, the VP of Culinary and Director of Culinary Operations
- Manage and organize executive calendars, ongoing meetings, training schedules, and project timelines
- Take thorough meeting notes, document recaps, and schedule follow-up to ensure action items are completed
- Handle correspondence: draft and route emails, letters, and memos with internal teams and external contacts
- Serve as a first point of contact with vendors and external partners; speak to our brand and storytelling with confidence
- Able to summarize meetings and next steps efficiently and manage follow-up to ensure tasks get accomplished.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and spreadsheets; maintain databases and culinary SharePoint
- Format and proofread documents, and handle all sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Work in person with the FRG Culinary team at various FRG locations, as needed
- Maintain flexibility for occasional earlier start or later finish when project needs require it
- Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE A CULINARY ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative assistant, project management, or experience in a professional environment required
- Restaurant or hospitality industry experience preferred
- Genuine curiosity about food, ingredients, and culinary culture is a plus; cooking experience is not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace
- Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Teams, AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT), or project management software, and the ability to pick up new software quickly
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines daily and weekly
- High level of discretion with sensitive company information
- Must be local to the DC Metro Area with reliable transportation
