Dishwashers are an essential part of Founding Farmers Catering & Events and the Culinary Barn operations. This shared role supports both catering production and commissary operations by maintaining clean and sanitized dishware, equipment, and workspaces while contributing to a safe, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. This position is an entry level role in the kitchen and often serves as a starting point for growth into prep cook or other culinary positions.

- Load, run, and unload the dishwashing machine to machine specifications
- Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware and dishes for dining room and kitchen
- Wash and store all tableware, kitchenware, and production equipment
- Keep the dishwashing machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems
- Monitor dishwashing machine water temperature and chemical levels to ensure sanitary wash cycle
- Keep dish and utility areas clean, organized, and free of clutter
- Clean, sanitize, sweep, and mop kitchen, production, and common work areas as assigned
- Monitor trash, recycling, and linen containers and empty as needed
- Check for broken items or wet areas that may be hazardous and address as necessary
- Handle dishware and equipment carefully to prevent breakage or loss
- Understand and follow proper hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards
- Clean and sanitize food preparation and production areas as needed
- Maintain sanitation buckets with proper chemical dilution
- Rotate and stock dishes and equipment to reduce wear and tear
- Provide assistance to prep cooks and culinary team members as needed, especially during peak production periods
- Support both Catering and Commissary teams based on daily operational needs
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards
- Other duties as assigned
- Great entry-level position, no experience needed
- Prior high-volume restaurant, catering, or food service experience a plus
- Able to work in a fast-paced, loud environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds, as needed
- Continuous bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, and use of hands and arms in wet conditions
- Ability to work flexible hours based on catering production and commissary needs
