Founders RX is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Filling Pharmacy Technician to join our team and play a crucial role in delivering quality pharmaceutical services to our valued customers.
As a Pharmacy Technician at Founders RX, your primary responsibility will be to process and fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently. Under the guidance of a pharmacist, you will assist in providing exceptional customer service, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of pharmacy operations.
Schedule: Full-time and Part-time
- Hours M-F 8am-8pm rotating open/close shift and Sat/Sun 9am-5pm rotating weekends
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Resident Rights and HIPAA policies at all times.
- Sterilize surfaces and equipment, preparing the pharmacy for daily operations.
- Greet customers warmly and respond to their inquiries courteously via phone.
- Receive prescriptions and verify their validity.
- Process prescriptions electronically, ensuring all information is complete and accurate.
- Resolve issues promptly, such as rejected insurance claims, to maintain smooth operations.
- Accurately measure dosages and select appropriate medicines to fill prescriptions.
- Organize, stock, and label medication while monitoring inventory levels.
- Order Entry inputs and understanding
- Prepares and compounds sterile IV medications. Ensuring accuracy, aseptic techniques, and patient safety.
Specific Requirements:
- Proven experience as a pharmacy technician.
- Experience with an online prescription system is a plus.
- Knowledge of medication and dosage measurement.
- Familiarity with pharmacy law and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable with a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Successful completion of a pharmacy technician program/educational requirement.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification - Required.
