Summary
The Two yr old Teacher will be responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate activities for children between the ages of 18 months and 3 years in a childcare center. The candidate must have experience working with two yr old children and the ability to provide a safe and nurturing environment for them to learn and grow.
Duties
- implement daily lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate for two yr olds
- Provide a safe and secure environment for children by supervising and monitoring all activities
- Encourage and facilitate two's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Conduct regular assessments to track two's progress and development
- Communicate with parents and guardians about their child's progress and needs
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Attend staff meetings, professional development trainings, and other events as required
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and protocols
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an early childhood education or related program is preferred
- At least 1 year of experience working with two yr olds in a childcare setting
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate practices
- Ability to create and implement developmentally appropriate activities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as a part of a team
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to sit on the floor, stand for extended periods of time, and kneel or crouch at toddler's level
