Foundations Learning Center is seeking a dedicated Administrative / Personal Assistant to support our Childcare Director. This key role will help ensure the smooth operation of our center by providing both administrative and personal support, allowing our Director to focus on leading and enriching the educational experience for our children.
The Administrative Assistant / Personal Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Childcare Director, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of the childcare center. This role requires excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills, with a focus on supporting both administrative tasks and personal scheduling needs of the Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Childcare Director with daily administrative tasks, including emails, phone calls, and correspondence.
- Manage the Director’s calendar, scheduling meetings, appointments, and events.
- Prepare reports, memos, newsletters, and other documentation as needed.
- Maintain accurate records, files, and databases related to children, staff, and center operations.
- Support payroll, attendance tracking, and other HR-related administrative tasks.
- Coordinate communication between parents, staff, and external partners.
- Help organize events, trainings, and special activities within the childcare center.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Perform other duties as assigned to assist the Director in managing the center efficiently.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in administrative or personal assistant roles, preferably in childcare or education settings.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and children.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift or move office supplies or materials up to 25 lbs.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time position, with occasional flexibility needed for meetings or events outside regular hours.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $38,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
