Our residential treatment facility for at-risk youth is seeking a Transportation Specialist to provide safe and reliable transportation for our residents. As a Transportation Specialist, you will be responsible for transporting residents to doctor appointments, court appointments, and out-of-state travel. This position requires a compassionate and patient individual who is comfortable working with at-risk youth who have experienced trauma. The Transportation Specialist actively works to support the facility mission of providing an environment of safety so that the residents feel empowered to heal the wounds of the past and build a foundation of hope for the future.

Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and reliable transportation for residents to doctor appointments, court appointments, and out-of-state travel.
- Facilitates visitations with residents and family members on weekend days.
- Maintain accurate records of transportation logs, schedules, and mileage.
- Ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with the treatment team to ensure that residents are transported to their appointments in a timely manner.
- Provide support to residents during transportation, including managing any behavioral issues that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal transportation regulations.
- Report any issues or concerns to the Transportation Manager in a timely manner.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Minimum of one year of experience in transportation preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and de-escalate behavioral issues that may arise during transportation.
