What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Specialist position at Foundations for Life Principles?
Foundations for Life Principles is seeking compassionate and motivated individuals with a passion for working with youth and families to join our team as a Family Specialist. This position provides services to clients in the following counties of East Tennessee: Blount and Sevier. Our agency is specifically searching for candidates who reside near Blount and Sevier counties.
Responsibilities:
Family Specialists will work directly with clients to educate and deliver services such as:
- Parenting Education
- Family Supervised Visitation
- Homemaker Services
Family Specialists will also:
- Assist clients locate and utilize community resources
- Communicate with client's case managers and other supporting individuals as needed
- Monitor parent-child visitation sessions
- Attend court sessions, and child and family team meetings as needed
- Create and document progress notes for each client
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in a social sciences field
- Experience working with youth and families is required
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain professional documentation
Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance
- Must have dependable transportation
- Must have access to an iPad or laptop for documentation purposes
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to pass a drug screening as needed
Position Details:
- Flexible schedule, as this position is dependent on client's needs
- Travel is required to various locations throughout the service area
