Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and attentive Infant Nursery Caregiver to join our childcare team. This position is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants while supporting their daily care and developmental needs. Duties
- Provide attentive care for infants, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and supervising daily activities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy nursery environment
- Follow established schedules for feeding, naps, and playtime
- Interact with infants through age-appropriate activities that encourage healthy development
- Communicate professionally with parents and coworkers regarding each child's daily care
- Follow all daycare policies, health regulations, and safety procedures
- Maintain accurate records as required
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure high-quality childcare
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or GED required (additional education in Early Childhood Education is preferred)
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to lift and carry infants and childcare equipment as needed
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable attendance and dependable transportation
Nice To Haves
Previous experience caring for infants in a licensed childcare setting
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
Knowledge of safe sleep practices and infant care best practices
