The LifeWorks Schools are seeking an energetic, collaborative, and experienced Special Education Teacher to support our LifeWorks School in Media, PA for the 2025-2026 Academic School Year.
We are now offering a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for a certified Special Education Teacher!
The LifeWorks Schools are licensed specialty therapeutic day schools for students in middle and high school effected by social, emotional, or behavioral health challenges. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide academic and functional instruction to students diagnosed with Autism or Pervasive Developmental Disorder in a school setting.
- Monitor student academic and functional achievement through data collection, observation, and other quantitative methods. Observe and record student progress daily.
- Develop and monitor student’s IEP, reports, goals, objectives, attend IEP meetings, establish, maintain, and work toward student goals as outlined in the IEP.
- Manage student behavior through individualized motivational systems, S.M.A.R.T. Program and positive behavior support plans.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s level degree in Special Education is required.
- PA certification in Special Education is also required.
- Content area certifications preferred.
- Prior experience working with students with behavioral health challenges within a school setting is highly desirable.
