What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medicare Representative position at Foundation Risk Partners?
The Medicare Representative is responsible for working with new and existing clients to compare health insurance options and secure coverage with the appropriate carrier.
An ideal candidate will have experience working at an independent insurance agency and is comfortable working with Medicare and individual coverages.
Essential Functions:
- Uses experience, discretion, and independent judgment to conceptualize and implement solutions to meet client needs as to coverage and costs
- Accept inbound calls and follow-up with online requests for health insurance coverage to secure Individual and/or Medicare coverage for new clients
- Speak with current and prospective clients to gather information necessary to quote and compare coverages
- Regularly interact with clients in a professional and timely manner
- Handle questions, research and resolve problems
- Keep an accurate and organized log of client interactions
- Attend sales and product education meetings to stay up-to-date with market updates
- Support the marketing, enrollment and educational efforts of the Medicare and Individual Programs
